Carol Becker Woman's Regatta

All Boat Entries into the Race must be registered.

You are cordially invited to participate in the 2019 Carol Becker Woman at the Helm Regatta on September 28, 2019. The regatta will be sailed on Upper Galveston Bay.

The Regatta derives its name from the former Texas Association of Social Sailors member and avid woman sailor Carol Becker who tragically lost her life in a boating accident in 1995. The Cup was a Deed of Gift to TASS in 1996 in recognition of the Woman at the Helm sailor exhibiting excellence in sportsmanship and proficient sailing skills in accordance to the TASS Race sailing rules set forth in this document.

• Regular Registration Deadline                Tue, Sep 24, 1900 hours 
• Competitor's Briefing                               Fri, Sep 27, 1900 hours at Houston Yacht Club 
• Scratch Start (see Sailing Instructions)   Sat, Sep 28, 1300 hours
• After Race Party/Awards Ceremony       Sat, Sep 28, 1800 hours (approx.)

Registration Fees  

• Entry Fee for TASS Members                                           none
• Entry Fee for Non-TASS Members                                    $35
• Late Registration Fee (up to Competitor’s Briefing)           $50 
  

To participate, please follow the "Register" link to the left and complete the registration form.

All registered skippers must provide a full crew roster with phone, email and emergency contact for each crew member no later than at the Competitors Briefing (form attached to Notice of Race).

After Race Party and Race Trophies

Following the race we will celebrate the traditional TASS "TIE-ONE-ON FOR BUZZ" after regatta party.  Besides race participants, friends and guests are invited (TASS members and non-members welcome).  Each crew member joining the party (incl skipper) must sign up for the party separately here.  Please note the deadline of Tue, Sep 24, since we must have a headcount at that time.
