Full Day - On board training - Blue Horizon (Catalina 310)
Target Participants: Unlevel your knowledge and skills with hands-on at each boat position.
Who should take this course: People looking to increase their sailing skills, although beginners are welcome.
- Safety & general knowledge of pre-sailing boat checkout
- Undocking safely from slip
- Basic navigation rules in the channel - real-time
- Hoisting/unfurling sails
- Points of sail and basic sail trim
- Tacking and jibing (getting ready and executing)
- Wisker Pole drills
- Crew at the helm
- Main Sail maneuvers
- Proper boat positioning for lowering sails & taking in the Jib
- Docking
- YES. we always practice KNOT's because we do not do them frequently enough to remember.
