TASS Houston Meet and Greet

Location: Postino Uptown Park - Uptown Park Blvd, Houston, TX 77056

Meetings in the Houston are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month unless the calendar and announcements state otherwise. Exact location for the meeting will be posted within 30 days of the meeting date. Consult the Weekly Blast or the calendar for updates.

Time: 5:00 pm

At TASS, we host a group meeting the second Thursday and a Meet and Greet in the Houston area. It's a fantastic opportunity for our current members and guests to come together, chat, and get to know one another.

During these gatherings, we share and discuss exciting happenings around TASS. This includes upcoming Casual Sails, Instructional Sails, TASS Races and After Race Parties, Members DROP ANCHOR Parties, and Special Events. It's a hub of information and good vibes!

We genuinely welcome guests with open arms and encourage participation. So, if you're curious or want to connect with like-minded sailors, join us for some fun times! You can look forward to enjoyable conversations and exciting updates.

The skipper will contact all registrants by Friday before the RACE.

On-board: 11:00 AM (departs @ 11:15 AM) back by sunset

This is not a casual sail.

Registrants are expected to actively participate in boat operations. They must be able to operate winches, handle lines, and move about the boat. We recommend that you obtain sailing gloves for personal protection.

While Invictus is full. You can sign up on the Wait List under the registration types. If someone decides to sell their seats, you will be in line to take that seat. In addition, if there are enough individuals on the wait list a second boat may be chartered.

If you plan to attend the Awards & after-race party, please note that registrations for this are separate. You can find the registration details in the calendar.

Thursday, before the race, 1900 hours – Registration Will Close

Friday, before the race, 1200 hours – Distribution of Sailing Instructions via email and posted on the TASS Website.

Saturday, Race Day - 1300 hours – Scratch Start (anticipated; see Sailing Instructions for details)

After each race, there is an Award Presentation and Celebration Party.

Party Starts following the conclusion of the race - approx. 5:00 PM -Remember, we don't control the wind. Hence, we do state after the conclusion!

Galveston South Bay meeting is on the first Thursday of each month. It’s a great opportunity for current members and guests to come together.

SPRING FLING RACE

The skipper will contact all registrants by Friday before the RACE.

On-board: 11:00 AM (departs @ 11:15 AM) back by sunset

This is not a casual sail.

Registrants are expected to actively participate in boat operations. They must be able to operate winches, handle lines, and move about the boat. We recommend that you obtain sailing gloves for personal protection.

There will also be a second TASS boat participating tomorrow. Participants may be asked to move to the other boat if needed to keep the number of crew (and women available to helm) as close to equal on each boat as possible.
